How to get to the cottage in Cumbria

Driving from the North or South leave the M6 motorway at junction 39 and if from the South turn left or from the North turn right heading towards Shap and the A6.

After about a mile you will come to a T junction with the A6 and should turn right.

After about another mile you will enter the village of Shap. Keep stright on and you will pass the Greyhound Hotel on your right and a farm on your left. At the top of a small hill is a left turn which goes past a small factory.

Follow the single track road over a small bridge and 30 meters on you will see a VERY sharp right turn sign posted Brackenber. The cottage is the first house on the left.
